If your computer is running low on resources, Outlook will freeze up. If your antivirus software isn't up-to-date, Outlook may not function correctly. If the problem doesn't occur after you restart Outlook, one of the add-ins is likely the cause of the problem.

However, in most cases, the changes will reflect almost instantly. If you are using Gmail or Google Workspace as well as the Outlook calendar, it would be nice to have them populated with the same information. Here is how to make sure your Outlook is showing the same information as your Google Calendar. It might be that antivirus software is trying to block a function that is repeatedly trying to squeeze Outlook Fix Blog through the firewall.

This alias will be added to their account as a secondary alias, with the original 3rd party alias will continue to be set up as the primary. Once this step is complete, the user will land in their Outlook inbox and be able to use all Outlook functionality with this new email address. You can also add the secondary connected accounts (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) in Outlook.com as additional accounts in the Outlook profile. While these Microsoft accounts work in other Microsoft products (e.g. OneDrive, Windows, Xbox), they are non-functional when visiting Outlook.com.

To use the Inbox repair tool, exit Outlook, and then follow the steps in Repair Outlook Data Files (.pst and .ost). In the first place, check whether your antivirus is up-to-date. Reliable and trusted antivirus software vendors do care about compatibility with Microsoft Office applications, so there is a good chance that the issue is fixed in their latest update. If the above does not help, turn off the antivirus and see if it brings Outlook back to life.

If you can't find a dialog box open, move on to the next step. There’s nothing in particular to warn you about, as there are many informational and diagnostic information there, but reading the entries may lead to a clue about what’s going wrong.
